Pantyhose or Freedom?

Happy New Year! May this be a year of winning, losing, learning, and moving on. I say this because in spite of our 'New Year resolutions', life happens. You have bad days, you lose friends, you grow spiritually weak. It happens to all of us at some point in life. The great thing is that even in our weakness, God is always there. He and His love never changes.

Last night I had the opportunity to go to a bible study, and was blessed with some wonderful fellowship time with some very special girls! The Lord works in wonderful ways, and I believe that every time we open His word or gather together with other believers that there is a message to be heard from the Lord. Something that was said last night was clearly a message to me from the Lord. I know I probably won't quote this exactly but it goes kinda like this...

"If your friends don't build you up, they're not your friends, they're your mission field."

This above text means a lot to me! I have absolutely never heard or thought of it this way- but it is SO true! As Christians we are to love and build each other up. We are not called to go through life alone, but to surround ourselves with other believers who will lift us up.

If you are like me and have gotten to the point where you are finding out who your actual friends are, I feel like what was said above is so relevant. 

The Lord has been at work lately, and I can't wait to see what is in store for 2015.
