My Servant Song

Growing up in a “traditional” Baptist church I have heard many, many, many hymns in my life. I would have to say that my absolute favorite is # 613. The Servant song speaks to me and it somehow finds a way into my head and I will catch myself singing it quite often. The Servant Song Sister, let me be your servant. Let me be as Christ to you. Pray that I might have the grace To let you be my servant, too. We are pilgrims on a journey. We are brothers on the road. We are here to help each other Walk the mile and bear the load. Pantyhose or Freedom?

Happy New Year! May this be a year of winning, losing, learning, and moving on. I say this because in spite of our 'New Year resolutions', life happens. You have bad days, you lose friends, you grow spiritually weak. It happens to all of us at some point in life. The great thing is that even in our weakness, God is always there. He and His love never changes. Last night I had the opportunity to go to a bible study, and was blessed with some wonderful fellowship time with some very special girls! The Lord works in wonderful ways, and I believe that every time we open His word or gather together with other believers that there is a message to be heard from the Lord. Something that was said last night was clearly a message to me from the Lord. I know I probably won't quote this exactly but it goes kinda like this...
